The Mountain Backpack Program is coming to Gilpin County for the 2019-2020 school year. Community members who live and work in the area have been meeting throughout the summer to establish a packing space and their own network of volunteers who will pack and provide food for students dealing with food insecurity. Our homebase in Evergreen will provide ongoing support through fundraising and awareness. Together, we will be keeping kids full & focused across three counties including West Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin County.
